Buying a Diamond

Typical retail jewelry stores purchase diamonds and then try to sell what they have in inventory. Chances of the retailer having the perfect stone in stock are slim. They may be the stones the store wants to sell first and keep the better inventory back for a certain customer. This is called 'Cherry Picking' your inventory. Internet sites work in a similar way only they list their inventory on-line for you to pick through. Then if you find a diamond that may fit your criteria, they have to send it in for your approval. Unless you are a diamond expert, you will need to take this stone to a jeweler who needs to examine it. Then to find the jeweler is upset with the fact that you purchased a diamond somewhere else and will find some reason to add doubt to your mind on whether you got a good deal or not.

Q. Can I use the Jewel Jet™ for all my jewelry?
A. No. The Jewel Jet™ is primarily intended for your diamond jewelry, however rubies and sapphires can be steam cleaned safely as well. You can also steam clean any gold, platinum, or silver jewelry. There are many stones that should not be steam cleaned. These include, but are not limited to, Opals, Emeralds, Tanzanite, Kunzite, Garnets, Peridot, Pearls Coral, Turquoise or stones that may be glued in or porous.

Q. Does the Jewel Jet™ work better than an Ultrasonic Cleaner
A. Yes, the jewel jet uses the same technology that professional jewelers use inside of their stores to get your jewelry looking brand new again.

Q. How does Jewel Jet™ work?
A. The Jewel Jet™ converts tap water into steam. Pressure is released through a nozzle on the front of the steamer. Simply hold your jewelry close to the nozzle with the tweezers that are provided, and steam away, just like the pros.

Q. Does it really clean as well as a professional unit?
A. Yes. Although the jewel jet is much smaller than a professional unit, the cleaning results are the same. It operates with only 8oz of tap water.

Q. Is it safe?
A. Yes, very safe. However, we advise keeping the unit out of the reach of small children due to the temperature of the steam. Don't remove the cap while the unit is under pressure. The steam is hot, but it won't burn you like your household iron could.

Q. How long does it take to clean my jewelry?
A. The steamer takes less than three minutes to heat up. When the red steam light turns off, your jewel jet is ready to use. Once the light has turned off it only takes second
